"A home away from home!"

"This was our fourth visit since June, 2007, and each time we've left feeling more like family. Sherry is a warm and generous hostess, and her breakfasts are superb. Her standard poodle, Mr. B, and her ragdoll cat, Priscilla, (a breed known for low shedding) are very well behaved, and the song of her canary, Vic, is a delightful addition to breakfast. She takes great care in cleaning, and her decorating is charming without being fussy. She even has a small decorated tree in each room for Christmas, as was often common in the Victorian era. The property is within easy driving distance from Gurnee, Woodstock, Long Grove, and other northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin attractions, and only about 90 minutes from downtown Chicago by either car or train. This is a delightful place for a romantic getaway, a mother/daughter weekend, or just a high tea or wedding breakfast."
